A seventeen-year-old types “driving school” into their phone between classes. That evening a parent asks the only two questions that matter: how much, and when can you start? If your site answers with a photo of a car, a paragraph about safety and a phone number that only works on weekday mornings, the family opens the next school in the results. Not because that school is better. Because its page answered first.
People rarely compare driving schools on teaching style. They compare what they can see, and they decide fast.
So put the answers on the page, in this order:
- What the licence costs in total, or at least a clear starting price. Show what is included: theory course, a set number of driving lessons, the exam fees or not. A family that has to call just to get a rough number will call someone else first.
- When the next theory course starts, with dates you keep up to date. “Courses run all year” sounds helpful and tells nobody anything.
- Which licences you teach, in plain words: car, motorbike, trailer. Not just letter codes.
- Where lessons start and where the classroom is, with a map link that opens on a phone.
- How to sign up: a short form that asks for a name, a phone number and which course. Not a PDF to print and bring in.
- What happens after they sign up, so nobody wonders whether the form went anywhere.
Keep it fast on a phone, because that is where almost all of this happens. And keep the dates and prices easy for you to change yourself, so the page is still true in March.
None of this needs a big site. It needs one clear page that answers what families actually ask. If yours does not do that yet, write to hello@merkwell.com. Tell us how your courses run, and we can build the page around them.
