Privacy Policy
This page says what we collect, why we use it, and how to ask us to delete it. Effective 20 August 2026.
Who we are
Merkwell is the public brand of Lantis, Tilen Poje s.p., Trbovlje, Slovenia. We are the controller for personal data on this site. Write to hello@merkwell.com.
The same site is served at merkwell.com, merkwell.de, and merkwell.eu. The canonical address is merkwell.com.
The public website
This is a marketing site for a studio that builds custom websites and web apps. Contact is by email. There are no user accounts and no payments on this site. There is no newsletter signup.
If you write to us, we receive the address you use and what you put in the mail. We use that to reply and, if you ask for work, to talk about a project.
The server may keep access logs (IP address, time, requested URL, user agent) as needed to run and secure the site.
Cookies
The public site does not set cookies. We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts on these pages.
The pages load fonts from Bunny Fonts (fonts.bunny.net) so the typefaces can display.
Google user data
Merkwell uses Google OAuth so the owner can authorize an internal tool to access the Google Ads API. The accounts are advertising accounts Merkwell itself owns. We use them for Search campaigns for merkwell.com, merkwell.de, and merkwell.eu.
This is not a public product. It is not a client-facing Google Ads manager.
What we access
Through Google we can read:
- Google account identity (email)
- Google Ads data: accessible customers, campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, budgets, performance metrics, and conversion actions
How we use it
We use that data only to report on and manage Merkwell’s own Search campaigns.
We do not use Google user data to train models. We do not use it to serve ads to other people. We do not use it to build a product for other advertisers.
Use of Google user data is limited to the practices described on this page.
Storage and sharing
OAuth tokens and cached metrics are stored on Merkwell’s own server in the EU (Hetzner, Helsinki). We do not sell this data. We do not share it with third parties except Google (as the API provider) and the hosting provider as needed to run the server.
Disconnect and deletion
Stop the OAuth grant in the Google account. Write to hello@merkwell.com and we will delete stored tokens and cached Ads data.
Retention
Emails we receive: as long as we need them to reply, to do the work you asked for, or to keep a record of a project.
Server logs: only as long as needed to run and secure the site.
Google OAuth tokens and cached Ads metrics: while the connection is in use. We delete them when the grant is stopped or when you ask us to.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- Google, when the Ads API connection above is authorized
- Our hosting provider (Hetzner), as needed to run the server
- Anyone the law requires us to tell
Where data is stored
The public site and the internal Ads tool run on a server hosted by Hetzner in Helsinki, in the EU.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, or a copy of your data. You can object to processing. Write to hello@merkwell.com.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (IPRS).
