Someone needs a haircut. Or a colour before a wedding. They search for a hairdresser near them, open your site, and wait less than a few seconds for a clear next step. Soft photos and a buried phone number do not count. They leave for the salon that already says how to book.
A hairdresser website is not a mood board. It is the front desk before they walk in.
That first screen has to answer:
- What you do — cut, colour, men’s, kids — in the first sentence.
- Hours that match when people actually book, including Saturday if you open then.
- Rough prices or packages so they are not guessing at the till.
- How to book: a number that works on a phone, a short form, or an online slot — whichever you really answer.
- Where you are, and whether parking or a tram stop matters.
You do not need a blog. You do not need a slideshow of every cut from last year. You need a page that lets a busy parent or a nervous first-time client decide without calling three salons.
If your current site still makes them hunt for that, write to hello@merkwell.com. Say what a booking must answer on the first screen. We can put the desk where they can find it.
